Yamaha has confirmed that its YFZ-R125 will be displayed at the MCN Scottish Motorcycle Show, after doubts over whether the model would be available. The event would be the first showing of the firm’s lightweight contender in Scotland.
Spokesman Simon Belton says the firm is delighted that the YFZ-R125 will be on display, noting that it will form part of a display comprising 16 models from the manufacturer’s 2008 range, a race-ready R1 prepared by Knockhill-based Grant Racing, and an Alan Tinnion-produced R6 sprint motorcycle.
All five of Yamaha’s Scottish dealers are due to be on hand at the show, to book test rides and take orders for new machines. Belton says Yamaha will also be heavily promoting its Zero Worship finance scheme at the event.
