Staff Blog: What is it with this blinking weather?

1 of 1

Not sure what it is with the local councils, they must have come into money, three of the roads I used have been re-surfaced and are covered in chippings. A bugger to ride over and getting peppered by oncoming traffic actually smarted a little.

The bike’s back from the first service and with the next one not being due till 6000 there’s plenty of chance to get out and ride. I did exactly that on Sunday and headed out to Kettering for lunch with family and friends, rather than be stuck in the car I took the Fazer8.

The journey to lunch was enjoyable, I’d decided to stick to B-roads and at times I was bouncing in the saddle, not sure if it’s the bike’s suspension or the B-roads. Something I’ll have to keep an eye on over the coming miles.

Annoyingly the weather had changed by the time I left the pub for the journey home, it was chucking it down. I’d chosen to wear my new Held leathers for the day, instead of textiles, at least it means they’ll get broken in now they’re soaked through.
