Many see the Suzuki GSX-R750 as the perfect compromise between a revvy 600cc sportsbike and a mental 1000cc rocket. It's capacity pretty much puts the GSX-R750 into a class of it's own.

The K4/K5 model got better brakes than the out-going model to make it near perfect. The K4 GSX-R750 also features an evolved version of the K3 motor, with revised internals for more revs and more power. It spins up quick with the pleasing metallic rasp gixers are famous for.

The soft-ish stock suspension may need to be stiffened up for track use, but for most of us on the road the bike has more handling potential than we'll ever use. The main problem with the GSX-R750 is that the price gap between it and it's 1000cc big brother isn't as big as you might think...

The Suzuki GSX-R750 doesn't stand up too well to the ravages of British winter, so bikes kept outside or used all year without care will look tatty. Problems with stiff gearboxes have been reported, plus the paint is thin on the fuel tank and can rub through easily - a tank pad is a good investment.
