Not for beginners. The Kawasaki ZX-10R was sold as the ultimate track bike and that's where it makes sense, on the road it is a bit of a handful, which for many is the whole point...

The ZX-10R is about as hardcore as they come. The 181bhp engine guarantees a wild ride, but it also happens to be very civilised at lower revs. They are knwon for sounding a little rattly, but this is normal and no cause for concern (if in doubt though get it checked).

The handling is precise and it's as nimble as the 600s of it's day, but it can be a bit twitchy. Needs an experienced touch. The clocks feature a handy shift light, but many dislike the digital rev counter because it cna hard to read in the wrong light.

Check the fasteners, connectors, brackets, wheels and calipers as all can suffer if subjected to winter use. The ZX-10R attracts hooligans, so check for wheelie abuse, track use and crash damage.
