First there was the Kawasaki Ninja 30. Then KTM joined the 300-or-so class with the announcement of the RC390. And now, Honda has gotten in on the action. But is it too little too late? Has Honda missed its opportunity with the delayed CBR300R?

Afternoon ladies and gentlemen, looking at my first bike and appear to have found quite a good example of a 2005 SV650 for <2k. I've done all the usual, tyres look good, service history present, asked questions about battery and how it's running (been in storage). Is there anything in particular that might have slipped my mind, or that something in particular those with a bit more knowledge might point out? It's not the most money in the world, but i've saved my pennies and i'm intending to have this bike for quite a while, so i'd appreciate any tips or hints?cheers
Hi, currently restoring a 1985 Kawasaki GPZ400R. Like many other things, it's tyres were shot & someone had had a go at carving them up. Given old bike/newer tyre technology debate, what tyres would you recommend for general leisure riding/UK touring on this bike? Thanks
