Used price: £3,390 - £5,410
Engine: 12v 675cc in line triple, 6 gears
Power: 123bhp
Top speed: 160mph
Weight: 165kg

Silky handling, kick-ass engine and an addictive howling exhaust note - the Triumph Daytona 675 is a very desirable motorcycle. It's a real winner that works just as well on the road as it does on the track.

The Triumph 675's three cylinder engine is a masterpiece with 123bhp and a usable broad spread of power that makes it feel grunty in a way screaming inline 4 600s struggle to match.

The benefits of the three cylinder motor cross over to the handling as well, because it helps to make the 675 narrow and small. Tasty USD forks and firm shock make going fast very easy.

Nicely put together clocks, classy paint options and factory performance extras like race exhaust and engine re-map kit make the 675 feel a cut above the more mass market middleweight sports bikes.

Build quality is good, but there were reports of early bikes burning a lot of oil and going bang, so check the level regularly. Because of the demand resale values are pretty solid, making it a good investment.
