High idle!!!!

My idle on Derbi senda x-treme 72cc 2-stroke with a dellorto carb 21 is too high (2000-2500rpm) and it doesnt fall. Theres not a problem with the throttle cable, there are no air leaks on the vacuums and the idle screws are adjusted fine. Also the carb is clean. What could the problem be? When i put 1st gear in theres a hit on the gearbox since the rpms are high and it will destroy it. Sometimes when i put 1st gear the engine stops after the hit. Please i need an answer fast because i am going to sell it in 3 days ...

DID chain riviter

I am going to buy a DID cain can anyone recommend a chain riviter other than the expensive km500 DID tool.I am a little dubious of the cheaper versions and would like some advice on buying a cheaper non DID tool. Do they work is the simple question or are they as some reviews suggest a waste of money. regards vic

Mineral or synthetic

Read with interest last weeks MCN column on Oil advice centre. I have a different query which hopefully you can give advice on.My Buell xb12x has mineral oil specified. Having read your item, it would seem Synthetic oil may be better - running cooler - Buell issue better performing etc etc. Can I use syntheic as apposed to Mineral and if so which one would be best?

Revving moped

My mate's got a 1997 honda sgx50 sky moped. It has  just developed a problem where by it will go from tickover to screaming revs without touching the throttle!Using a donor bike which runs fine, we have swapped carb, slide, throttle cable and auto choke. Problem stays on original bike.Any ideas anyone?
