Ducati extend Desmosedici RR production run to 1500

Ducati has announced it is to take orders for a further 250 Desmosedici RRs, bringing the production total to 1500. Never-raced 500GP prototype

THE Ducati motorcycle heritage stand at World Ducati Week, exhibited a 1970’s 500GP prototype that never made it to a racing grid.   The 90-degree air cooled v-twin used the tried and tested desmodromic valve system, but couldn’t compete with the multi-cylinder bikes.

Military Monster at World Ducati Week

The Italian military were on hand at World Ducati Week to take Troy Bayliss for a spin in a helicopter gunship, and brought this military-themed 900 Monster.     Painted in olive-green, the bike also featured straight through exhausts and military-themed details such as missile shaped indicators.
