Yamaha announce 2008 prices

Yamaha today announced their 2008 prices at their annual Dealer Conference. Eight of Yamaha's existing models have had their prices reduced, including the FZ1, XT660X, and the MT-01. The prices for all of Yamaha's new 2008 models, such as the YZF-R125 and WR250X have also been released. Round-the-world record holder Nick Sanders is to continue leading a group of motorcyclists across Africa to Timbuktu despite terrorist threats which lead to the cancellation of the Paris-Dakar rally. Yamaha YZF-R6 is UK favourite

Latest figures released by Bennetts motorcycle insurance show the Yamaha R6 is the most quoted motorcycle of the year so far. Eleven per cent of all the insurance company’s quotes have been for the middleweight Japanese sportsbike, marginally beating Suzuki’s GSX-R600. Yamaha offers XT-RA insurance

Yamaha has extended its offer of free third party only motorcycle insurance on the Yamaha XT125R and Yamaha XT125X learner motorcycles until the end of August 2007.   Yamaha is also offering subsidised third party and theft motorcycle insurance rates; £225 for customers aged 17-20, £125 for those aged 21-24 and £75 for those aged 25-over.

Yamaha sold 305 R6s in the UK in January thanks to a new zero per cent finance and £99 deposit offer.
