ebike suit successful

Just letting you guys know so we can spread the word, i successfully claimed against ebike for charging me insurance after my accident(non fault) where they carried on charging me for insurance knowing my bike wasnt being used. They would not have advised me of that and kept my money had i not sued, naturally you want to keep working towards NCB so if in doubt wait untill policy ends then claim.   I am now claiming against MCE for not doing a mid term adjustment to a cheaper quote i got, still in process im claiming the money back ...

Bike written off

I had an accident on the M4 last November due to a reckless driver, and although the bike did not seem to have suffer too much it was been asses by the third party and they are scrapping it (cat D). I lost the front, as I can recall it was just the side panel, mirror and foot peg that got damaged. They are offering me 3K for the bike (Kawasaki ER 6F 09Reg). First of all, I think it was worth ...

Contributory neglience if claimant already aware of pothole

Hello, If one suffers damage to ones bike from a pothole and the highway authority are liable, then I would like to know by how much a successful claim will be reduced if the claimant was already aware of the pothole which caused the damage to their bike. Does anyone know what the guidelines are or have any links to relevant cases in England or Wales? I have searched Google and there seem to be relevant cases, Dingley v Bromley LBC (2000) and Day v Suffolk County Council (2007) but I cannot read the cases anywhere online. ...

On board Video

I am about to fix a new camera system to my bike to that record front and rear, however I have a question on what legal right the police have to view the footage. If I get stopped for a routine check can they use the video to see if I have done anything illegal? If I have an accident, can they use my video to prosecute me?

CBT

Hi, I'm 18 and have held a CBT for nearly 2 years. Next year will I be able to ride a 125 if I do the CBT after January 19th? Or should I do the CBT before Jan 19th. I Cannot afford to do a bike test as it stands with lessons, should I try without lessons before the law changes

Damage caused on company parking

Just a quick question, during the bad winds on last thursday my bike was parked at the back of my place of work but at the corner of the building, i think what happened was that the very high winds funnelled down the side of the building along the roadway and parking spaces, but couldn't go where the building was and couldn't go the other side due to hedges etc, so my bike was under so much force it was blown over.Security called me to say my bike was down, initially i thought it was hit by the mini(car) but ...

Law changes

On my provisional licence it says i can ride category 'A' from 31.01.2013 (when I'm 17). Category 'AM','A1' and 'A2' (the new category's from 13.01.13) are left blank. I'm riding a moped at the moment. Does this mean I can still go straight to my big bike test (33bhp for 2 years) when I'm 17 even though i'll be taking my test after the law changes?

F800ST Piston Slap

Yep I'm really mad and wondered if you could guide me on how best to handle this situation....I bought an F800 in early 2008, looked after it very well with full BMW services and garaging it. I took it with 3000 miles from the dealer and put about 17000 on the clock. I went to buy a new BMW bike the other week and was offered %XA34000 part exchange. The bike is in good condition and was just having the once over when I got a call from the BMW dealer saying they could not take it ...
