Buell shuts down production lines as sales drop

American firm Buell is shutting down production at the East Troy factory in Wisconsin for two months as a result of low sales. Buell is part of the Harley-Davidson group and will be closing production facilities from October 30 until January 4, 2010. The closure will result in the temporary laying off of 50 staff.
