Theft warning to Surrey bikers

Bike owners in Surrey are being warned to keep their motorcycles secure after a spate of thefts in the borough of Spelthorne. Thefts in the area during April rose by 84.6% compared to March, with 24 bikes being reported as stolen. Four teenagers have been arrested in connection with several bike and moped thefts.

Police hunt speed camera thief

Thames Valley Police are hunting a man who stole a £20,000 fixed speed camera last week. The camera was taken between Thursday evening and the early hours of Friday from London road in Sunningdale, Berkshire. Police are appeal for anyone who may have witnessed the theft or spotted anyone loitering near the camera to come forward.

Horse riding more dangerous than bikes

Figures from Stoke Mandeville hospital have revealed that horse riders are over 21 times more likely than motorcyclists to have a serious accident. The hospital found that horse riders have a serious accident every 350 hours on average, compared to every 7500 hours on a motorcycle.
