Instructors call for harder driving test

Young motorists are dangerously unprepared to take to the roads according to a survey of driving instructors. Three out of four instructors said the driving test should be more difficult. A quarter of newly-qualified drivers also said they had been involved in a crash due to a lack of skill.

Record burnout attempt falls short

The Guinness World Record Burnout attempt at Bushy’s beer tent fell short of the 107 riders needed to take the record on Thursday, June 7, 2007. Only a handful of riders turned up for the attempt in the stunt area, but as these pictures show it didn’t stop the hopefuls enjoying the attempt!

Help find missing Blackpool biker

Lancashire Constabulary are asking bikers in the Blackpool area to help them find a missing motorcyclist. Fifty-six year old Steven Johnson went missing from his home in Park Road, Blackpool on April 16 and has not been seen by since.  He is described as stocky, 5ft 11" with receding hair and glasses. Bike yobs get free road safety courses

The Safer Middlesborough Partnership has received £42,000 of lottery money to send nuisance bike riders on a road safety course. Youths issued with Section 59 notice, which warns riders that their bikes could be seized, will be sent on the five week course to teach them bike awareness and, it's hoped, keep them out of harm's way. Mum photographs injured son to 'scare him off bikes'

The mother of a 20 year-old man who suffered serious head injuries in a bike crash has taken his picture whilst unconscious and seriously injured in the hope that it will ‘scare him off bikes’.
