Road side 'art' removed after driver confusion

A roadside sculpture made of ten different road signs has been removed over allegations it caused driver confusion and even accidents. Wonky road markings to be repainted

Contractors in the New Forest are having to repaint the white lines on the A337 after an attempt to paint them in the dark left the lines wobbly. The line was rejected by the council, and will need to be repainted in daylight at the expense of the contractor.

Border road named as Britain's fastest

The A74 on the England/Scotland border has been named as the UK’s fastest stretch of road with vehicles travelling at an average of 72.2mph. The study, by satellite navigation company Trafficmaster, named the M6 Toll road as the second fastest road, followed by the M45 in the West Midlands.
