Britain's oldest bikers

Ten of Britain’s oldest bikers have been recruited by insurance company Bennetts to share some of their experience that totals 689 years and covered more than half-a-million miles between them. Fireman biker head-butts 60-year-old

A fireman from Chichester has been sentenced for head-butting a 60-year-old man while still wearing his motorcycle helmet in a road rage incident. Darren Hurford, 40, was sentenced to an 18-month community order with supervision and ordered to pay £250 compensation and £175 in costs at Worthing Magistrates Court last week. Road sign 'art' removed after driver confusion

A roadside sculpture made of ten different road signs has been removed over allegations it caused driver confusion and even accidents. The arrangement in Ashford, Kent was created by artist Michael Pinsky to mark the scrapping of the ring road, and the ten signs include both ‘no entry’ and ‘one way street signs’. Wonky road markings to be repainted

Contractors in the New Forest are having to repaint the white lines on the A337 after an attempt to paint them in the dark left the lines wobbly. The line was rejected by the council, and will need to be repainted in daylight at the expense of the contractor.

Record burnout attempt falls short

The Guinness World Record Burnout attempt at Bushy’s beer tent fell short of the 107 riders needed to take the record on Thursday, June 7, 2007. Only a handful of riders turned up for the attempt in the stunt area, but as these pictures show it didn’t stop the hopefuls enjoying the attempt!
