£17,000 Yamaha FZ1 Abarth replica

1 of 1

Take a second glance. This is no standard Yamaha FZ1. Instead, at a cost of over £17,000, it’s a painstaking replica (apart from the paint job, obviously) of the exquisite, fully racer-ised ‘Abarth FZ1’ displayed last year.

Built by MCN reader Ken Gosling, the bike features, like the Abarth inspiration, the sort of mouth-watering specification you’d normally expect to see in the WSB paddock.

Lightweight wheels are by Marchesini; forks are by Ohlins, brake calipers are radially-mounted Brembos and the rotors are by Galfer.

But there’s more: an Ohlins rear shock and steering damper, one-off, Akrapovic full exhaust system, Rizoma bars, levers, grips and rear sets not to mention a Dynojet Power Commander.
