Cheaper Ducati Streetfighter tested

MCN’s Michael Neeves is the first journalist to ride the standard Ducati Streetfighter. This isn’t quite as bejewelled as the £13,995 S model, but it is a significant £2500 cheaper.

The standard model shares the same basic engine and chassis as the S, but is 2kg heavier and does without the traction control system and lightweight wheels, and it runs Showa suspension instead of Ohlins.

At a glance the easiest way to tell the difference between the two models is that the S has a bronze frame and wheels, the standard bike a black frame and grey wheels.

Both Streetfighters come in red, but you can also get the standard version in white (the second colour for the S is black).
