BMW S1000RR real first test ride.

I was on a track day at Phillip Island on the 22nd of October when the BMW marketing manager was test riding the new 1000RR.
I managed to get a photo on it and even got to start the engine and move it forward a few feet but unfortunately never got a full lap in.
From my 36 inch ride I can confirm that all power mapping modes are more than up to the task and inspire confidence, the brakes are fantastic and the gold colour scheme is a lot more pleasant in the flesh than in the photo.
Unfortunately I was not able to accurately assess the suspension or wheelying abilities of the bike in our short time together.
