TL1000R
was the best v-twin by a mile... ducati`s spend most of their time in the garage getting repaired, come on mcn. i would rather have a sv650 before a ducati, at least i would be confident i would get to my destination.

Aprilia Shiver GT
Where does the Aprilia Shiva GT rate in your poll? I am really pleased with mine, much more comfortable than a Monster, water cooled, ride by wire with three programs, handles well, good build quality, sounds great, good fuel consumption and well equiped for a very reasonable price- I paid £5,500 with free luggage on a 56 plate from DK! MCN is a great paper I read it every week!! Best regards.

No TL's in there at all, and no SV650 which was one of the best Non Exotic V twin engines for years. That was more of a "name your favourite Ducati" test :) Gaz

Utterly Routine
Why are we bothering with these polls? It would save everyone's time if you said "List some wholly unimaginative recent popular examples of this category. Pretty ones which have been wildly hyped, preferably". At least then we'd know not to expect anything else.
A best V-twins survey with only one Harley (which isn't exactly representative of its breed anyway), no Guzzis, no Indian, no Brough Superior and no Vincent...but five Ducatis? A best Adventure bikes where the latest of the big Beemers is classed as two different bikes (standard/Adventure) but where there's no classic GS at all...and where Ducati's two-wheeled version of a Chelsea tractor beats all the recent Beemers, the KTM Adventure and the Africa Twin? It looks a bit like an adventure bike, but it was never supposed to be a lookalikes contest, was it?
Let's show a bit of imagination, a bit of heart. Five Ducatis (four of which from the last ten years!) are all more noteworthy than a Vincent Black Shadow or a Guzzi Le Mans? Pull the other one.
