Phil West is currently in Monserrat near Barcelona for the world press launch of the Triumph Tiger 800 and 800XC version.
This is what he has to say so far:
"I’m riding the road 800 version today with a ride on the XC version tomorrow, we have so far ridden into the mountains south of Barcelona along a mix of A roads and fabulous twisty mountain roads and it’s already proving that the Tiger 800 is a great fun, easy to ride road bike.
"The first thing impresses you is how easy it is to get on with, the ergonomics are spot on and the re-worked engine is amazingly tractable pulling smoothly from as low as 2000 rpm, when you thrash it hard towards the 10,000 rpm red-line it reminds very much of the 675 Street Triple."
More to follow tomorrow.
