2012 Kawasaki ER-6n - first impressions

MCN’s Senior Road Tester, Adam Child, is putting the new Kawasaki ER-6n through its paces at its European launch in Faro, Portugal.

The latest variant of Kawasaki’s popular middleweight has been totally revised for 2012, and features new frame and swingarm, revisions to the gutsy parallel twin engine including improved fuelling. There is a wide range of cosmetic changes, too.

‘The day started off with riding through towns and heavily built up areas, this is where the ER-6 is designed for and carries it off very well. It’s obvious the seat is narrower and the bars slightly wider to help direction changes. And I am loving the new modern European-looks.

‘I’ve not had chance to put the bike through its open road paces, yet. I will update later on this. So far, so good and so ER-6n.’
