Pidcocks Motorcycles shut down!

It was with some sadness and concern that I found out last week that Pidcocks Motorcycles in Derby have closed down with very little notice after 32 years of trading!

This leaves Derby With just 1 MotorBike Delership in the city & NOW Kawasaki or Delership for over 35 miles from me.

UPDATE: Pidcock intend to reopen a Suzuki shop in Long Eaton in the new year.

Just before the rumour mill gets into full swing and the 'Doomers' begin assuming the worst, you may like to read this notice that was posted on the Pidcock web-site some time before the store was closed -

there is kawasaki/suzuki/ducati dealer in clay cross, if you really need to.

however their second hand bikes are very very expensive, and a couple of the sales staff are a little too.......well, i wouldn't have them as friends

i attended the last day of trading at derby, bargain hunting and wanted to find out why it was closing, when i asked a now former member of staff he advised sales of kawasaki+ suzuki were good, accessories etc all good but the long eaton honda branch not so, and pidcocks owned the derby building outright, still i did get a cheap scotoiler, chillout t shirt and tank protector for my ER6, but it is a shame that they have closed, i will miss this store as it was always a joy to go to

Where now!

Trying to find any where decent in Derby is a nightmare and now there's less choice. Sad to see them go
