Brand new classic Nortons found!

1 of 5

A treasure trove of still-crated Norton Commando 850s from the mid-1970s has been unearthed in Belgium.

The 11 ‘New Old Stock’ bikes are part of the stock of a defunct classic motorcycle dealer which is all being put up for auction later this month.

The hoard also includes an ex-Peter Williams 1974 Norton works ‘space frame’ racer, a still-crated bike, a 1989 Rotax-powered Matchless G80, dozens of other Nortons and Triumphs, as well as masses of spasres and workshop machinery.

It is understood the heirs of the shop – Motoshop Podevyn in Aalst, Belgium – have decided to sell the entire stock following the death of the previous owner.

The bikes and items are to be auctioned by Trooswijk Belgie on April 26. Further details of the auction can be found here.
