MCN to ride with Lorenzo and Suzuki’s GSV-R at the TT!

MCN will be the only publication in the world to be riding with MotoGP championship leader Jorge Lorenzo in Friday’s parade lap and alongside Cameron Donald as he rides the Suzuki GSV-R around the Isle of Man.   

It is the first time a four-stroke MotoGP bike has ever tackled the TT course and the first time Lorenzo has ever been to the Isle of Man.

Dainese-backed Jorge Lorenzo will be making his first appearance at the Isle of Man TT on Friday June 11 where he will ride a specially painted Yamaha R1, designed by an MCN reader. He will ride alongside GP legend Angel Nieto and will be joined by MCN editor, Marc Potter. All three will ride road-going Yamaha R1s.

The star will ride a full-lap of the 37.73-mile circuit before the Dainese-backed Superbike TT and then watch the race from a secret location.

After the Dainese-backed Senior race, Suzuki’s GSV-R will be ridden by TT racer Cameron Donald as a special tribute to Suzuki’s 50 years of racing at the Isle of Man TT.

The bike’s MotoGP rider Loris Capirossi will also be at the Isle of Man for the first time to watch his own 250bhp 800cc bike get ridden on Isle of Man soil, though it is not yet confirmed if Capirossi will be riding or not.

MCN editor Marc Potter will ride a Suzuki GSX-R1000 and (attempt to) follow Cameron Donald as he rides the GSV-R on a full lap of the circuit.
