MCN puts new Michelin Pilot Road 3 sport touring tyres to the test

MCN has managed to get hold of a set of the all-new and slightly strange-looking Michelin Pilot Road 3 sport touring tyres and put them to the test in the recent grotty weather to see how they cope.

Michelin is claiming big things for the dual-compound Pilot Road 3 tyres which combine years of racing wet weather tyre technology and design ideas from car winter tyres to give better grip in wet conditions and even last longer. 

MCN has tested the tyres on a Honda CBF1000FA and recorded just how they perform in both acceleration and braking tests.
