World’s best wife found

David Whitby’s weekend got a little better when his wife, Lorraine, bought him a Ducati 1198SP as a surprise present.

Lorraine, from Colchester sold her Ducati 1098S Tricolore for the 1198SP. While she was in the shop she bought a second for her husband who currently rides a BMW R1200GS.

David Reilly at Ducati Coventry said: “They came to my shop on Saturday to see her bike which he knew about, but he had no idea Lorraine had bought one for him too. He was speechless!”

The pair will soon be going on a Ducati track day to try out their new bikes.

The Ducati 1198SP features an electronic quickshifter, slipper clutch and Ohlins TTX rear shock. Ducati say the bike comes ‘track ready’ and is ‘the highest-ever performance 1198SP ever’.

We’re not jealous.
