Rare Buell heads Buxton auction

This rare early Buell, valued at £24-£28,000, is one of the star sale items for auction this Wednesday in Buxton, Derbyshire.

It’s an RR1000, powered by a Harley XR1000 engine and is one of just 49 examples built by Erik Buell’s fledgling company between 1986 and 1987.

The bike has been in a private collection for many years and is one of the stars of the H&H Auction of Collectors Cars, Motorcycles, Registrations and Automobilia being held at The Pavilion Gardens, Buxton this Wednesday (June 8th) starting at 11am.

Other machines in the sale include an ex-Walter Villa works Harley-Davidson RR350 racer from 1974 expected to fetch between £24,000 and 28,000 and a 1977 ex-Christian Sarron Gaulioses Yamaha TZ750 estimated at £35-40,000.
