Cal Crutchlow - average moto gp rider at best. Surprised Ducati offered him a contract.

It seems Cal had no options apart from this ride.I'm gutted for him coz it means any hope of a title push is gone.So just pocket the dosh mate & wring that sack of shits neck to entertain us for a couple of yrs.

2 years in the wilderness
Not sure if this is correct or not but, but someone said the last time a brit won on a Ducati was Mike Hailwood at the Ulster GP in 1959!!.

After the way he was treated last year by Ducati I'm surprised he even entertained the idea of riding for them. I really hope he does well on the Ducati, but I think he may end up with the same sort of issues that Rossi had having come off a Yamaha.

Cal has no other options, the works bikes are all taken, his last hope was Bradl's Honda. Bradl had a great last ride, Cal one of his worst, enough to deny him the Honda ride.
If it were my decision I'd have given Cal Pedrosa's bike, Danny's had so many chances on the Honda and not capitalised on it.
No doubt he's a potential winner on a factory Honda or Yamaha, but let's not forget Marquez or Lorenzo. Cal is where he is, the timing is unfortunate, the Ducati is the only factory seat. Cal's not getting any younger or more marketable, he needs to think of himself, these guys are self employed after all, and get some serious money in the bank over the next few years by when the whole grid will be full of Spanish 20 somethings.
