Enter your MCN Fantasy Road Race team before Saturday!

With the World Superbike championship kicking off in Phillip Island, Australia this weekend, now is the time to enter MCN’s Fantasy Road Race competition run in association with RAC Insurance.

All you have to do is select two riders from each category – MotoGP, WSB and BSB (see below).

If money was no object, selecting your ultimate dream team would be easy but with only £10m to spend you can’t simply pick the best riders in each class – you have to play smart.

Jorge Lorenzo may be expensive at £3m but he’s the reigning world champion and epitome of consistency so could well be money well spent.

You might think that 2013 is Dani Pedrosa’s year or his team-mate and MotoGP rookie Marc Marquez is the man to watch following his stunning testing display in Sepang.

There is also the small matter of Valentino Rossi. He’s shown he’s still fast, he knows how to win championships and he’s also a steel at £2.5m - £0.5m cheaper than Lorenzo!

And don’t forget Brit Cal Crutchlow at £2.4m – now in his third year of MotoGP, can he be a regular podium man?

It’s all to play for in BSB too, with multiple champions Shane Byrne and Ryuichi Kiyonari going up against the ever growing pack of hungry riders all looking to claim the race wins and the BSB crown.

But right now your attention needs to be on WSB. First practice starts on Friday and with 15 rounds and a total of 30 races there is big points to be had in this class.

Choosing your riders won’t be easy though. With five Brits and an Irishman all capable of running at the front there’s not enough room to have all your favourites.

Plus there’s also the small matter of title contenders Marco Melandri, Carlos Checa and Sylvain Guintoli.

Great prizes
Playing MCN’s Fantasy Road Race competition doesn’t only allow you to show your mates you’re racing knowledge and prowess, by joining this free to enter competition you’ll have a chance to win one of three brilliant new Hondas - CBR500R (pictured), CB500F or CB500X - impressive middle weight bikes with a recommended retail price of £4950.

There’s also a whole host of prizes up for grabs after each game round throughout the season ranging from sets of Pirelli tyres through to tickets for BSB races.

How to enter
Registration details must be entered immediately before team selection. Any team entries received after 04:00 GMT on Saturday, 23 February 2013 will not score points for the first race. After that, only teams entered before the official scheduled start of a race will score points for that race - the scheduled start being several minutes before the actual start of a race.
