1993 500GP world champion Kevin Schwantz returned to racing at the weekend when he competed in the Suzuka 8hr and along with his team-mates finished third.

At the same time Jeremy McWilliam, also 49, finished second in the Supertwins race at Armoy and set a new class lap record.
