There's no doubting aftermarket exhausts makes bikes sound a lot better, but are they annoying or do they actually save lives?

Room101, I find this interesting you don't think loud pipes can be heard inside modern cars? I can hear them inside a modern car, maybe you have a lot of earwax? Also if one cannot hear them in a modern car, why do so many people complain that they're so loud? You can't have it two ways, either the exhaust is loud or it isn't
Also, I guess most car drivers have secret eyes in the backs of their head because I make it a personal mission for every car I filter past to watch their heads, and many cars who's drivers did NOT look in their mirrors suddenly slide in to let me pass easier. Why? They heard me.
You can hear most choppers and 2 strokes halfway down the road in a modern car they're so loud, unless by modern car you mean a panic room.
Also who said it is a false sense of security? Just because I know I can be heard doesn't mean I think I am somehow invincible. Like I said, I make it a personal mission to watch every driver when filtering, as soon as they mirror check, I ride past. Slow filtering sure, but hey, it works.
