BMW S1000RR round the Nurburgring

BMW has just released this great onboard fottage of German racer Jurgen Fuchs on the new BMW S1000RR superbike testing at the old Nurburgring in Germany.

Obviously a 1000cc 180bhp superbike is a bit quick and it must have given the other road riders a bit of a shock when Fuchs came past on the BMW.

The corner where the cones are is called Kallenhard - they often put cones there to stop over-enthusiastic novices turning in too early. They have lots of crashes there because the bend is downhill and tightens up on you. It was a fast lap by normal mortal standards but he wasn't trying that hard - the english blokes who work there like brendan, dale and andy carlisle would have come past him in a blur
