Aprilia Shiver 750 revised for 2010

The Shiver 750 is widely regarded as a good bike, but rivals like the Triumph Street Triple have beaten the bike both in back-to-back tests and in sales.

For 2010 the Aprilia Shiver now comes with a cowl around the headlight, wave brake discs and new colours to make it stand out. Under the skin it also gets the next generation of fly-by-wire throttle.

The riding position is altered with a 5mm narrower seat to make reaching the floor easier, the footpegs are 5mm further back and bars are angled differently for a sportier feel than the outgoing version of the Shiver. The footpegs themselves are now separate for rider and pillion – the combined footrest hanger is replaced by rider rearsets and pillion footrests bolted to the subframe.

The 92bhp engine remains unchanged, and the tubular trellis frame and quality chassis is the same as the 2009 model Shiver 750.
