North Wales Police: ‘Great protest but we’re not changing’

1 of 1

North Wales Police has issued a statement praising riders who flooded the region on Sunday but hinting it intends to continue randomly stopping hundreds of them every weekend.

A spokesman for the force said: “The event was clearly well attended, was very good natured and enjoyed by all involved.

“North Wales Police remain committed to saving lives and reducing road death and injury through education, enforcement and engagement.”

An army of 10,000 MCN readers descended on the region on Sunday in our Reclaim North Wales Campaign opposing the force’s treatment of law-abiding motorcyclists.

The force has previously declined to comment on every story we have run on the campaign.

We’ll be keeping pressure on the force, starting by hand-delivering letters of complaint from hundreds of MCN readers to the new chief.
