Ducati Coventry has taken delivery of the first two Ducati Multistrada 1200s to arrive in the UK with one going to a customer and the other available as a dealer demonstrator.

These pictures were taken this morning as the bikes were being uncrated and prepared for a PDI before one is going to the first owner in the world and the other readied for demo rides.

Ducati has taken hundreds of orders for the new Multistrada 1200 which MCN recently crowned as the best adventure bike after it toppled the BMW R1200GS.

Ducati Coventry has taken 32 confirmed sales for the Multistrada, Ducati Glasgow has taken more than 40 with Ducati Manchester closer to 50.

Dave Reilly from Ducatri Coventry said: “These are the first two Multistrada 1200s in the country and there was a lot of excitement when they arrived.

“We have got a long, long list of people wanting demo rides which we are expecting to translate into a second wave of sales as people get the confirmation they want to confirm an order.”

The customer bike is going to a massive Ducati fan who placed a deposit and confirmed an order more than 18 months ago on the back of an MCN story about the bike being planned by Ducati. He will pick it up within days.
