New Yamaha Fazer8 revealed

1 of 1

Yamaha has finally taken the wraps off the new Fazer8 – the half-faired version of the 799cc middleweight that will be going on sale in the UK this summer.

So far only the naked FZ8 bikes has been seen completely undisguised. The Fazer8 and naked FZ8 version are replacing the Fazer6 and FZ6 models so Yamaha has a model range that spans from 600cc range of bikes such as the Diversion through to the bigger FZ1 and Fazer1000 models.

Division manager for motorcycles of Yamaha Motor Europe Arno Sunnotel told MCN at the show: “This is an all-new engine with the emphasis on torque and sharp handling. Full information on the FZ8 and Fazer8 will be released on March 12.”

The bike has been seen in MCN weeks ago but only in black and white images which were found on a website lodging intellectual property rights. These are the first time Yamaha has shown the finished bike after launching it at the Turkish Motorcycle Show in Istanbul.

Keep checking back on www.motorcyclenews.com as the day goes on as we update the story throughout the day.
