Kawasaki ZX-10R v BMW S1000R - spec comparison

Fellraven do yourself a favour and take no notice of fzzzr ive owned hondas ,kawasakis and run a seven year old speedfour who's build quality is superior as i use my bike all year round and it hardly ever gets washed(once this year at the beginning just to get last years winter crud off) the finish is much better than the hondas i had while the kawasaki just rotted away in front of my eyes go and check all the bikes out then look at build qualit out as ive never seen any of the bikes at the bikes at the roadside and the likes of ride have them test for a year and cover a lot more miles in all weather conditions in a year than most people do in 3 years so i think they know of these so called problems to it seems a lot of people hate the fact that the jap big four dont have it there own way and that the europeans are making great bikes and fzzzr most components are made in china anyhow.

Having skipped through some of the comments made about the comparison of these two behemoths of the supersports bike world and having glanced at the comparison specs,i have to say nothing ever changes does it!?

In this world where image, power or indeed BOTH, determines(in this case) machine,how well it'll sell,there is always the temptation too EMBELISH the specs and have gullible people BELIEVE.

Look, the BMW 1000RR has been proven, has it not, to produce about 180bhp at wheel,that it is a lovely bike too ride,reliable(so far) and hasn't really any major flaws!!!

Now,one new model year on and as per usual,the JAPANESE,I.E, KAWASAKI, are claiming a BMW beater!

 Once again,we see the ante upped in weight,physical size,power(another7bhp at the crank has miraculously been found),etc.I notice they haven't given RAM AIR ASSISTANCE CLAIMS on power(or is the 197bhp with it?).I mean COME ON,how much more can be shaved off these machines in size or weight before they fold like a piece of paper?These are,are they not ROAD BIKES?

People,so it seems, are wetting themselves in anticipation at swinging a leg over this bike,in the hope of hopes it finally is the bike everyone has dreamed of.(Should be for£11-13000)

Well i may be a cynic but i await the moans and groans of all the people who buy these new models, that  later in the year, you hear them come out with,"I had the BMW,sold it for this new model and its not a good as i thought.Wish i'd never bothered".

Looking at the pics of these two bikes i have too say the BEEMER has it for me(just that little something there,called CLASS).The Kawasaki looks plastic.The BMW may be cross eyed but it looks the price it is(just wish it had OHLINS-WP suspension,and BMW would extend lower fairing to cover that hideous BOX they call an exhaust).

In todays market like i say where image/power sells,i suppose fans of the ZX10R will buy in scores and be happy(that is until something else claiming to be better comes along).Trouble is,that won;t be for long in this throw away world will it!
