Carole Nash Motorcycle Live: Diversion gets Ohlins suspension

Yamaha has unveiled an Ohlins-equipped version of its XJ6 Diversion F at Carole Nash Motorcycle Live.

The £410 Ohlins rear shock tops a list of special parts lavished on the Divvy to give it a sportier edge.

It also features Galfer Wave front brake discs, two-finger ASV levers, a pillion seat cover, tail-tidy number plate bracket, double bubble screen and new red and white paint scheme harking back to classic Yamaha designs from the eighties.

To buy a Diversion in this spec, including the £1200 paint job by Altamura, would cost £9000.

The Ohlins Diversion was unveiled alongside show-special version of the R1, R6, and R125.

Some comments on here such as....... THE PRICES ARE RIDICULOUS,PAINT JOB SHOULD HAVE BEEN STANDARD,COULD BE YAMAHA'S DOWNFALL!!!

All these comments carry a truth to their weight but try telling the manufactuers this!

Is something happening we,the general public are not aware of?

Has the deficit been cleared up yet and we are not privvy to this knowledge?

What is going on.Times are going to get harder for people to keep a roof over their heads,never mind trying too find the money to buy vehicles like this for EXTORTIONATE OVER INFLATED PRICES!

I wouldn't even mind but the DIVERSION of all bikes to make a special out of.Its a cheap transport,built to a price bike and yet £9000!!!

Yeah right!, i'll take two and then wake up too find its been a nightmare!!!

Its a real shame yamaha have there head up there own ass holes they have a great set of bikes on the market but the prices are just gettin silly. I think this will be there downfall, an for the diversion what a wast of a good suspension....

£9k. Yamaha are having a laugh. Yamahahahahaha.

Who in their right mind is going to spend £9k on a Divvy. A couple of years ago, that would have got you an R1.

Tell you what though, it's a real shame Yamaha didn't come up with this paint job as standard. They might have sold a few more bikes as a result. Manufacturers have been complacent in recent years assuming the Brits like black, grey, maroon or dark blue. Just give us something a bit more exciting for the right money and you'll sell some bikes. An example is the new R1. Fantastic bike. Sounds awesome and goes even better. What do we get? black, white or a blue and white option. Dull, dull dull. All Yamaha had to do is give us two extra options:-

1) Add red and black speedblocks to the white one

2) Add a yellow option with black and white speedblocks.

How difficult can it be?

Nice bike

But at £9K it's way to expensive I can't see them selling many at that price there are to many exotic naked's out there for not much more I like this but I'd rather have an Italian or Brit bike.
