About 50bhp for a 150kg bike. Using the engine from a Suzuki GS 500, a tubular frame and good brakes, this could be a brilliant track bike.

GREAT....
Now that's a nice bike. Wish the big manufacturers would build simple, beautiful, useful bikes like this.

Try a supermoto. Much cheaper than a Gixxer, MUCH more fun, and virtually crash proof.

I fancy to ride at track, but nowadays, it becomes hard to continue while on my Gixxer,, budget-wise.
expensive tire, brake pads, and crash cost.
For me, my gixxer's usage is only track riding, so considering tyre consumption, I can go there 6 or 8 times per year.(I can afford yearly 2 set of tyre, 1 set of brake pads, unexpectable crash cost...lol)
If I can have such a low cost track day bike, maybe I could go twice a month!
Gixxer is fun of course, but too much serious for me.
Only thing I want to do is to enjoy kneesliding and to do my best under given condition.
I want to hear opinions from track rider.

I bought a G.S. 500 last winter while my big bike was fixed . Have not rode a bike less than 750 since the 60s , was quite surprised ,have ridden it as much as my main bike . I am going to sell it ,but only because at over 6 foot and 16 stone its too small ,shall miss the reliability and m.p.g. Would recommend one to anybody apart from the finish - low mileage but looks like it was salvaged off the Titanic"s deck ! .

Maybe when I sell the RS125 (that I've never actually ridden) I'll be able to afford a shed of a GS, and throw some spanners and billet at it :-)
