Another flurry of deals has hit showrooms with £1000s of free kit, generous trade-ins and 0% finance among offers now being dangled to lure back buyers following the economic downturn.

Kawasaki has re-introduced its 0% APR finance scheme, Yamaha is offering free Akrapovic carbon end cans worth £1033 with every new R1, while Triumph is trying to tempt buyers with £1000 accessories vouchers with sales of some models.

ZX-6Rs, ZX-10Rs and ER-6s can all be had on the 0% APR deal from Kawasaki which only requires a £99 deposit and runs over three years.

George White Superbike Centres are offering free accessories packages with new bikes which include the likes of an Arai helmet, BKS race suit, TCX boots, BKS gloves, back protector, tank/tail pack, Datatool alarm, sport panniers and a rear paddock stand. Together, this lot comes to £2060.

And if you’ve a trade-in dealers are offering better deals than ever. Paul Styles of Doble Motorcycles in Surrey explains: “The widely reported shortage of quality used bikes means that we can offer customers up to £1000 extra on their part-exchange.” Many other dealers have also commented on how they can be more generous when it comes to trade-ins.

Sports bike sales have been particularly slow this year, leading to them being the subject of the best deals. John Brown from Hunts Motorcycles in Manchester says, “It has been particularly noticeable this year that sports bike customers have been leaving it a little later than normal to change their bikes, though naked bikes, sports tourers and all-rounders have sold steadily throughout the first half of the year”.

A good deal can still be found within these best selling categories though, the budget middleweight Yamaha XJ6 was found at George White with a number of package deals, including free clothing and accessories worth £1780. This is in addition to 3 years free servicing and a 4 year extended warranty.

Or If you’re tempted to go for something a bit more special MV Agusta’s flagship F4 1078 RR312 was found at Taz Motorcycles in Peterborough with 15% off – it’s now £12,173, £326 cheaper than a new Yamaha R1.
