£1240-worth of goodies with new Harley-Davidson XR1200s

Harley-Davidson are offering – for a limited period – performance and cosmetic goodies worth at total of £1240 with purchases of its XR1200X.

The offer, introduced to coincide with the current XR1200 Trophy race series but restricted to the first 40 sales, means buyers of the 2011 XR1200X from authorized Harley dealers will get their machines supplied with a Remus exhaust with titanium Powercone (which, with a revised ECU, gives a 10% power boost), tail tidy with LED stop light, Nano LED indicators and a QD Harley sports windscreen.

Versions of the bike complete with fitted accessories are on display in all authorised dealerships now.

“Last year’s XR1200 Trophy race series was a fantastic success and captured the attention of many motorcyclists who have never previously considered a Harley,” said Allan Brownridge of Harley-Davidson UK.

“We spoke to a large amount of riders at race weekends who were surprised by the performance and handling of machines from the XR1200 family, so this package appeals to customers who are considering buying a Harley but would still like a performance-focused machine.”

The XR1200X is currently priced at £9599 on the road.
