Ducati 1199 Panigale spied road testing

1 of 5

Ducati’s all-new 1199 Panigale superbike has been spotted carrying out final testing on the roads of Italy as the bike enters the final months before an official launch in November.

The 1199 Panigale is the 1200cc V-twin superbike replacement for the 1198 range and marks a huge departure for the Italian firm. It has the first completely new V-twin for more than 30 years and has a radically oversquare design with a huge 112mm bore.

Power according to recent leaks will be 195bhp and it will weigh 176kg in fully-trimmed kerbweight.

The bike was being ridden by a Ducati employee whose physique is far from the featherweight racing testers that have been spotted on the bike on track to date. It does show real-world testing is being carried out in the final months.

Ducati formerly announced the name of the bike last week as 1199 Panigale but is still remaining completely silent on any other information about the bike ahead of the launch of the bike at the Milan motorcycle show on November 7.
