140bhp whit ohllins for 7600 Dream on
That MT whit 140bhp , Ohllins shock absorber etc will not happend for 7,600, again like in case of posible new TDM, ,dont have basic touring (whit girlfriend) capability where is hand bars for pasanger, which is on old FZ1Fazer almost perfectly positioned, this type of flat and narow back seatings cowl like on some of kawasaki models and Suzuki gsr750 haven't comfortability for 50 miles toure,FZ1 model just because clear and distinctive diference between FZ1N and FZ1 Fazer in touring capability was wonderful, if you wish to go whit pasenger on longer toure , you can buy FZ1 FAZER, if you wish to travel alone whit "breez" on your face you buy FZ1N, question of power and tork aka engine is another problem, because this 900 Triple will not go on 150bhp just whit fuel map changing and minor tuning of engine, which means, boreing on(very possible) over 1000ccm and replacement almost all inside parts of engine..I have better solution, just "old" Fazer engine little bit modernized whit better consumtion, puting some of mode's like sport, touring, rain, and fixed parts which was shows some weeknes during utilisation time of course, Fazer 1 need to be and stay fazer 1,even new designed. not MT09 whit 1/2 fairing

Back to the Bezzi design
The tail unit and seat looks like that from the Fazer8. That seat is far to uncomfortable for touring my liking. On mine I've fitted a gel pad inside and another on top and its better now. These days bike manufactures like Triumph and BMW give a basic seat and expect us to pay extra for a 'comfort' seat. I hope Yamaha get that aspect sorted on something they market as a sport-tourer. The older Fazer mark1 seat looks far more comfortable.

Stressed1, I understood what you meant totally. You wanted something like the photoshopped design now. Yamaha will probably make a 1/2 faired version later. The naked versions are a bigger market than faired in mainland Europe than over here, so they did the naked first.Thats probably why Ducati brought out the Hypermotard then the Hyperstrada in that order. I like the way the MT09 looks anyway, looks are all subjective.

I'll get there eventually.......
Exceledsteve....... Yamaha probably WILL develop this model and countless others will hatch from it.
However, what i'm saying here is this; this MT-09 that is out ont he market, now, should have ben designed by Mr. O. Bezzi, in that his design has turned a banal looking bike into something with lines that flow accordingly.
Also, IF, Yamaha stop producing the FZ1/FAZER 1000, then all they have to do is either bore or stroke the engine, producing a 900cc triple producing 125-140bhp. This amount of power with the lower weight of the triple engine should, and hopefully better mpg, in theory, keep the bike, in performance terms, on a par with the present FZ1.

Wait a while
I think Mr Windsurfer is probably right stressed. If all that has happened to the bike here is a fairing has been drawn on I'm sure Yamaha will be doing that in time as they expand the MT09 family. I'm waiting for the TDM version of this MT09. It's unlikely and frankly unnecessary to have 140hp in this kind of bike. Let's have a nod towards practicalities instead so we can use this as a workhorse for all occasions.
