Picturehttp://i43.tinypic.com/9uu73c.jpgOn my zx6r when i serviced the brakes today i noticed on the rear caliper, there is a round plastic thing that sits inside the piston [outside touching the back of the pad]. But on the front pistons they're hollowed out and the pad just sits on the rim of the piston.I was just intrigued as to why that is and what the purpose of this plastic thing on the rear caliper isThanks

I've just had the front wheel of my blackbird powder coated. When I tried to bolt on the disks, the threads stripped. I was using a torque wrench and they stripped at 10NM, the recommended torque is 20NM. As the wheel was goosed, I tried all 12 and they all stripped at or below 10NM. I've bought a second hand replacement wheel but don't want to repeat the process until know the cause. Any ideas?

OK, I'm reading my Clymer manual trying to test my fan thermo switch on my old FZX 700. The manual explains that I need to place the thermo switch in water and heat the water up to 98 degrees Celsius where resistance should be infinite on the Ohm meter, so far so good. I then have to heat the water to 105 degrees Celsius where resistance should decrease and allow current to flow then allow it to cool back through the 98 degrees point where resistance should return in infinite. My question is; How do I heat water to 105 degrees Celsius ...

I dont know too much about engine performance. I'm looking to buy a 600(ish) bike to last me two years, but heard that restrictor kit's can cause certain engines to perform badly, even degrade. When looking to buy, is there anything I should completely avoid if im wanting to restrict to 47hp? Thanks for reading. :DP.S - Sorry if im spouting total rubbish
