Unique Kawasaki Streetfighter, my first big bike.

Owen Byrom, 30 June 2012 15:56

In 2010 I was casually browsing eBay for a project 600 that I could use after I'd passed my test. I was looking for a bike I could use every single day and I believe I found that very bike when I stumbled on an 1992 Kawasaki ZZR600. I haggled and managed to get the bike for a very good price. As you can Imagine ...

As a teenager in the 60's I rode all over England and from Nottingham to Cornwall (where I now live) on my Italian Moto Rumi scooter a 125 twin twostroke which was rare even then. Phase 4 XT500 Supermoto

Anonymous, 14 December 2009 23:44

Thought your readers might be interested in seeing my (Final Edition) XT500 Supermoto. You exhibited my phase 3 model on your stand at the Excel Show in London last year. Bike weighs 110KG wet and produces 50bhp at the rear wheel. There are 16 pre-set ignition advance curves. Deemed to be the most powerful XT500 ever built. Regards Dave Newitt (www.yamaha-xt500.com)

My Triumph Thruxton special

Jon Russell, 09 December 2009 21:11

Hi, noticed the Triumph bobber in your paper and thought you might want to see my version of a bobber/tracker! It started life as the Thruxton but dropped bars aren't good for my back, but as I liked the alloy wheels and the slightly warmer motor on the Thruxton I decided to change it rather than go for a Bonneville. ...

Crusader 704

Anonymous, 18 July 2009 13:34

After 6 years of use my 1999 single speed needed a refurb, the english winters had taken their toll on the chrome and the paint had chips and marks. It started off to fit the "02" updated inverted forks to give a better "feel" of the road, then there was Tim from MN in the states who does an inboard ...

My 1989 Suzuki RGV250 race bike

Mike Sinclair, 15 June 2009 17:01

The picture shows my 1989 Suzuki RGV 250 motorcycle. I bought it from a friend who had stored it in his garage for 10 years and he has no previous history relating to it.    It has, I think you will agree, a fabulous (if not garish!) paintjob by Mirage. It is a VJ21K but appears to have the rev limiter set ...
