Video: Nobody mistreats a Street Triple like this guy

Funny French stuntist Julien Welsch has at last produced a sequel to his classic Extreme Triumph Street Triple Offroad video. He's cool and we like the way he's not too proud to include his screw ups! Filmed in Morocco it took six months to produce, including 11 days shooting and required specially-made 17in 'bucket' tyres. Enjoy!

Video: Icon take the Triumph Tiger 800 off-road

Ever wondered how good a Triumph Tiger 800 really is off-road? Well, just… just… watch this. Undoubtedly the best advert Triumph's ever had, and they didn't even have to shoot it themselves. Airbag suits? You ain't seen NOTHING yet: 'Safety Sphere'

A Canadian inventor has come up with the ultimate airbag, whose operation has to be seen to be believed. We don't want to spoil the surprise, so please, watch the clip before reading any further. Rejean Neron's Safety Sphere is a protective suit which inflates to a man-sized sphere, completely enveloping the rider in the event of a crash. It ...

Roland Sands 'Dirty Desmo': des-irable or des-ecration?

Roland Sands recently took the brave/insane decision to accept a commission to streetfighter a Desmsedici RR. Or dirt tracker-it anyway, as is their wont where he lives. There's no doubting the size of the cahunas required to take the angle-grider to a MotoGP rep, and equally to ride the 200bhp mutant. But was it the right thing to do? Is ...

KTM Freeride video brilliantly sells appeal of electric dirtbikes

KTM has done the electric dirtbike industry a massive favour with its latest promo. The clip, which shows the lithe, 'leccy Freeride E tearing up Barcelona from bedside to BMX track brilliantly articulates the benefits silent motive power can have. The power of e-dirtbikes to vaporize indignation and opposition to riding from non-riders should not be underestimated. Without leaving a ...

Ducati launches 'Fight For Me' aftershave

A bunch of pretty Italian ladies turned out last week to mark Ducati's latest launch – the 'Fight for Me' range of male grooming products. Starting with the Fight For Me aftershave (£22 for a 100ml bottle) Ducati plans to roll out a range of manscaping unguents under the intriguingly named brand. Laura Squizzato, Michela Quattrociocche and Chiara Giallonardo were ...

World's top 5 worst exhausts

There's little doubt we are leaving the age of the aftermarket end-can. With legislation tightening, Daily Mail readers not going deaf in sufficient numbers and many simply becoming annoyed by the sound of their own engine spinning at an apparent 46,000rpm let alone anyone else's, the first rung of the bike modification ladder is rotting away. A decade ago such ...

First verdicts on 161bhp Motus V4 sports-tourer

New American V4 sports-tourer the Motus MST-01 has completed the first leg of a multi-thousand-mile public development ride. The joyously coarse-sounding pushrod-actuated, direct-injected engine is the star of the soundtrack in this newly released video recap, which also features soundbites from the first journalists to ride the bike. Although to call them independent might be pushing it (both are 'friends' ...

The ever-watchable Captain Crash has some useful advice on how to pull away from a standstill turning, rather than straying too far into (potentially) harm's way.

VIDEO: Aprilia RSV4 Factory APRC SE v some Datsun – are bike firms growing their balls back?

Look at bike ads from decades passed and you come away thinking some manufacturers today aren’t fighting hard enough for the customers they have. Most of all, why did they ever decide to let cars get away with selling themselves as fast or exciting or reasonably priced? So we're pleased to see a tentative return to the glory days with ...
