BMW S1000RR HP4 arrives at dealers

BMW’s new S1000RR HP4 has arrived at UK dealers. The enhanced S1000RR litre sports bike features dynamic traction control, race ABS and semi-active suspension. Yamaha to make 250 sports bike

Yamaha has said it will make a 250cc sports bike. The YZF-R250 is expected to have similar styling to the R6, as in the above mock-up, doing the internet rounds. It’s not clear if the 2014 Indian model will come here.

New Loncin uses BMW G650GS engine

Honda’s 134mpg scooter

Honda’s latest 125 scooter will do a claimed 133.9mpg - around 50% more than the most fuel efficient petrol cars. The new SH125i has 16-inch wheels and space under the seat for a full-face helmet. The Italian-built scoot goes on sale in November.

Husqvarna Strada and Terra on sale next month

Husqvarna’s latest road bike is due to arrive in UK dealers early in October. The supermoto-style TR650 Strada uses the single-cylinder engine from BMW’s G650GS but tuned for 57bhp, up from 47. It costs £5971. A trailie version, the Terra, starts at £5271.

Tweaks to Suzuki motocrossers

Suzuki has updated its RM-Z250 and 450 competition off-roaders with new piston and suspension components for 2013. Pistons have been made lighter, improving throttle response according to Suzuki. Both models have new Showa forks with larger 48 mm diameter for better stability.
