Video: When wheelies go bad

Trevor Franklin, 21 September 2009 12:18

This video shows the end result of a wheelie onboard a Moto Morini Scrambler that landened slightly off-skew with an MCN staffer on it, or off it as was the case.  As far as we know there isn't a medical journal in the world that recognises this type of injury, but maybe MCN readers could come up with a suitable ...

Andy Downes, 31 July 2009 14:02

We've got no idea who came up with this short video funny but it certainly made us giggle. We reckon every bike should have one of these must-have gadgets fitted as it makes life so much easier. Was it your video? If so, get in touch because we'd love to be able to show off the creator and stars of ...

The tribute to one of the most famous bike scenes of all time from 'The Great Escape' differs from the original in a big way though - this time around he makes it and wheelies off into the sunset!

The Baghdad stunt bikers

Liam Marsden, 15 December 2008 11:46

The lack of policing in Baghdad has meant budding stunt bikers in Iraq can practice their stunts, whenever and wherever they like. The riders have to make do with ratty looking scooters and off-road motorcycles, but that doesn't stop them doing wheelies, burnouts and stoppies. Check out the video here

Friday funny: The real easy rider

Michael Carroll, 12 December 2008 14:27

Who says men can’t multi-task? This rider manages to negotiate through heavy traffic while writing a text message on his phone, and generally kicking back and relaxing. Could you relax on your bike with driving standards like that? Nice helmet, too.

This week's Friday Funny comes in the form of a David Attenborough spoof video about bikers and their habits during winter. The video follows the lives of two bikers through winter as if they were animals in a wildlife documentary, using phrases such as 'Tim sheds his summer coat, in favour of a thicker, more durable winter coat.' Which would mean ...

Speed control Danish-style

Steve Farrell, 30 October 2008 13:26

Here’s one European speed control measure we wouldn’t mind the UK sharing. Topless babes wave speed limit signs at motorists in an initiative from the Danish Road Safety Council. The ‘speed control bikini bandits’ are seen slowing traffic to well within the posted speed limit in a short film made the council. The council says the aim of the tongue-in-cheek ...
