Italian Job

mediter, 03 September 2013 10:28

The last weekend of August saw a number of Aprilia Caponord owners meet in sleepy Llandovery, mid Wales. The beautiful and sunny weather helped the Caporiders enjoy the outstanding scenery that Wales has to offer.

First bike decisions

THEB455INATOR, 10 March 2013 17:43

I'm coming up to 16  and I'm looking for my first bike. Of course it has to be 50cc but the choices are nerve wrecking. Questions haunt me such as which bikes are reliable? Will it suit my needs? Am I going to look a complete burke on it? I am looking to spend up to around £2,000 on a ...

The ten best and five worst biking royals - one more

souroush, 08 March 2013 11:28

I enjoyed reading the article “The ten best and five worst biking royals” on your page. However, I assume you have missed one of the Royalties with a great passion for motorbikes. Mohamdreza Pahlavi was the last king of Iran who had a great passion for Motorbikes along with his family. Have a look at the following: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mohammad_Reza_Pahlavi

HOC members pay their respects

Stritchy, 11 November 2012 20:35

Along with hundreds of other bikers, HOC members from Oxford, Cambridge, Beds, North London, North Downs, Reading, Northants, MK and West London branches went to Duxford Museum on Remembrance Sunday. We went to pay our respects and do the very least we can, by simply standing together in silence for two minutes and remembering. Beautiful in its simplicity.

For six years my girlfriend's family and I have been joking about her nan having a go on a bike again. 50 years ago her and her husband went everywhere on a Vespa - fast forward to last weekend and with a bit of help we managed to get her on the back of my Fireblade! I so hope I'm ...

Busting cramp

DazzleRebel, 28 March 2012 18:56

I’ve been finding that after about an hour of motorway riding I start losing feeling in my right hand. With the amount of miles I’m covering at the moment it’s surely not doing my long term health any good so I started to look for a solution. Now if I had the budget to do so I could probably source ...

Thanks for stopping?

JimKnight, 18 January 2012 15:56

On tuesday January 17 I was hit by a car on the A40 near Northolt by a lady in a black saloon. She decided to take advantage of a space in lane 2 which had just started moving about 5mph faster than lane 3 in which she was situated. Unfortunately she neglected to observe that there was an obstruction - me on ...

Yamaha Fazer 8 upgrade

gtufnell, 03 November 2011 21:52

This is my Yamaha Fazer 8 with a few modifications. Skidmarx used my bike for the bodywork development. Double bubble screen, hugger, side panels, bellypan and headlight protectors are all available. The Mivv exhaust sounds great and performs best with the baffle in. Gets rid of that little flat spot around 6,000rpm. Got the decals from a local company to ...

2011 Bike trip - 50cc bike trip Part 2

joshcherry93, 12 September 2011 12:05

You may remember last year I posted my article titled 50cc bike trip, whereby myself and a friend travelled to Wales and back on our 50cc motorcycles. The trip was full of thrills and (surprisingly) no spills and we vowed to do the same again on much larger bikes the following year... 12 months down the line (now both 17) and we ...

I'm a young rider!

YORKSHIRE1003, 08 April 2011 15:08

After reading many articles about young riders, the common problem is that there aren’t many of us, I decided it was my duty as a young rider to pipe up. I am more than slightly disappointed that my generation of bikers is dwindling so I would like to do my bit to promote two wheels and restore hope to those ...
