Power boost for 748 Testastretta

The new Ducati 748 Testastretta engine is making more power than the company expected. Initial predictions were for a 10bhp increase over the 2001 748R’s 106bhp at the crank.
Now it looks like the new engine, is making even more. Bench tests have seen over 120bhp at the crank, equating to a rear wheel figure of around 110bhp.
The new engine is expected to make its debut at the Munich Show in September.
